The ‘bawasawa’ singer says he is not happy at the label and so he wants to opt out – Stonebwoy adds that the working environment at Zylofon is not the best for him Dancehall musician and Zylofon Music signee Stonebwoy has revealed plans to quit the music label. After signing to Zylofon Music for more than a year, the musician said he had no plans of renewing his contract with the label and so he would want to opt out.
According to Stonebwoy, known in private life as Livingstone Etse Satekla, he is simply not happy at the label, hence his decision not to renew his contract.
He revealed that the contract was signed in June 2015 adding that “though Zylofon has good intentions, all is not well at the label”. Stonebwoy refused to disclose how long the deal was signed for, but he said he believes strongly that some people at Zylofon Media always wanted him out of the deal. Stonebwoy’s relationship with Zylofon had been a smooth one until the joining of Shatta Wale earlier this years.
Though he had debunked reports and rumours that he was uncomfortable and being terrorized by Shatta Wale’s arrival at Zylofon Music, Stonebwoy has had many dramas at zylofone.
For instance, asirifibernard.blogspot.com reported his fracas with Artiste Manager at Zylofon, Bulldog, in which Stonebwoy allegedly fired gunshots. This, he said, has led to a strained relationship with Bulldog, adding that “there is no relationship at all”. He revealed further that he had wanted to opt out of the deal earlier, however, the issues were resolved and he decided to stay. “I will like to exit when the contract expires; unless there is something they can work on. I can’t see poison and drink it,” Stonebwoy reportedly said.
